Being a tutor I strive to form in my scholars a deep understanding and self-assurance when answering assessment questions and managing to handle new issues. The base of my philosophy is the opinion that learning takes place in an area of mutual recognition where the person is supported to think and find new connections on their own. My practical experience has been that one-to-one private tuition has a unique benefit to students because of the option to resolve the learners' own obstacles to study in a way that lays the roots for a thorough and long-term comprehension of the theme.
Analytic thinking
My approach differs depending on the scholar's needs and learning style. My teaching theory is built upon encouraging scholars to think on their own, applying existing situations everywhere they can. |I think that it is essential to provide children with a working skills and to exercise problem-solving skills for establishing upon this knowledge. Directing a person to think analytically is at the fundamental of things that a scholar have to intercept from any subject class.
We learn through examples
Training students is among the most durable contributions a coach can make, and it is a process, which I consider to be enjoyable and beneficial. From my practice, I learned the importance of involving students by using patterns and of pitching content at a degree which assumes brainpower and yet not necessarily knowledge, mixing the known with the unknown as a synthesis which brings the scholar the feeling of probability rather than that of impossibility that official and impressive techniques may inflict.
My teaching tricks
I start from topics the scholars are comfortable with and step gradually towards more complex sectors while their confidence is being established. I put to use examples and questions to verify getting all the time. I never lecture to students or ask them to memorise information. Neither do I perform the students' assignments for them!
I normally concentrate on test-style or recent paper questions to confirm, practice and improve the child's recognising and performance. I will also give a lot of importance to many of the less obvious yet crucial abilities which include essay technique and structure, logical thought, and the powerful use of numbers and graphs.
